Job summary

The University of Michigan Family Medicine Department seeks a Research Area Specialist (Intermediate Term-Limited) to support mixed methods research projects and training programs within the Mixed Methods Program (MMP) in Ann Arbor. You will collaborate with faculty and staff on grant-funded work and contribute to qualitative and quantitative data activities.

Qualifications

Advanced fluency in Spanish and English (written and spoken)
Graduate degree in a health-related field (e.g., nursing, public health, epidemiology)
Minimum of 1 year on qualitative or mixed methods studies/projects
Experience collecting and analyzing qualitative data from study participants via interviews
Desire to gain mixed methods skills under guidance of MMP team
Professional and team-oriented attitude

Responsibilities

Support design and execution of mixed methods and qualitative studies.
Translate study materials between Spanish and English (translation/back-translation).
Collect and analyze Spanish-language data (surveys, interviews).
Assist with MMP training activities, workshops, seminars, and consultations.
Gather and synthesize literature for study design and content area.
Summarize and present findings in written, tabular, and visual formats.
Attend and contribute to group and one-on-one meetings.
