Job summary

NP Care Services Group, P.C. in Houston, TX seeks a Clinical Director to lead the clinical department, oversee behavioral health programs, and ensure high-quality patient care with regulatory compliance.

The role requires a master's degree in a behavioral health field, Texas licensure, and 3–5 years of clinical leadership experience, including supervision of QMHPs and case managers. On-site with hybrid options based on organizational needs.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a closely related behavioral health field.
• Active, unrestricted Texas clinical license as an LCSW, LPC, LMFT, or other appropriately qualified independent clinical professional.
• Minimum of 3–5 years of professional experience in behavioral health, psychiatric services, or community mental health.
• Minimum of 2 years of clinical supervisory or leadership experience.
• Strong knowledge of clinical documentation, treatment planning, and case management practices.
• Working knowledge of Texas Medicaid and managed care requirements.
• Familiarity with HIPAA, professional ethics, patient confidentiality, and clinical compliance standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct leadership and oversight of clinical programs and behavioral health services.
• Supervise, mentor, and evaluate clinical personnel, including case managers and QMHPs.
• Conduct regular clinical supervision meetings and staff development sessions.
• Ensure clinical employees follow established treatment protocols, ethical standards, and policies.
• Assist with onboarding, training, and performance improvement for clinical personnel.
• Address clinical performance concerns and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Promote a professional, patient-centered clinical environment.
• Oversee quality and delivery of psychiatric and community-based services.
• Monitor clinical caseloads, patient engagement, and continuity of care.
• Review assessments, treatment plans, reassessments, and progress.
• Ensure ANSA/CANS assessments are completed accurately and on time.
• Coordinate with psychiatric providers and support personnel for treatment planning.
• Monitor patient progress and identify opportunities to improve outcomes.
• Ensure referrals, treatment coordination, and discharge planning.
• Maintain EMR/EHR documentation accuracy and timeliness.
