Qualifications

• 3+ years of legal assistant experience in a law firm.
• Bankruptcy experience preferred; restructuring/insolvency experience is a plus.
• Experience with electronic court filings and court rules.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day administrative and legal support to bankruptcy attorneys.
• Prepare, revise, proofread, and finalize bankruptcy-related filings and documents.
• Coordinate and manage electronic filings in courts.
• Maintain calendars, monitor deadlines, and assist with docket management.
• Open matters and organize case files, manage document systems.
• Schedule meetings, hearings, and client appointments.
• Assist with petitions, motions, notices, and proofs of claim.
• Communicate professionally with clients, courts, and counsel.
• Handle time entry, expenses, billing, and travel arrangements.
• Support trial, hearing, and mediation preparation.
