Job summary

BankUnited is seeking a Teller/Platform Specialist to handle deposits, withdrawals, and customer transactions with a focus on accuracy and service excellence.

Role includes promoting bank products, meeting sales goals, cross-selling services, and supporting leadership in daily operations. Requires 2–3 years of cash handling and training in Teller/Platform functions; in-house training is provided.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2-3 years of cash handling experience.
• Excellent customer service, sales, risk management and cash operations experience preferred.
• Must be fully trained in both Teller and Platform functions.

Responsibilities

• Receives checks and cash for deposit, verifies amount, and endorses checks.
• Cashes checks and pays out money after verification of signatures and customer balances.
• Enters customers' transactions into computer and issues receipts.
• Places holds on accounts as appropriate.
• Balances cash in drawer and reconciles to data on screen.
• Explains and promotes Bank products and services to meet goals.
• Performs outbound calls and sets appointments for leadership in line with goals.
• Cross-trains on Platform products and assists clients with related activities.
• Opens and processes accounts after consulting with customers to meet needs.
• Meets referral goals for cross selling credit, non-credit and fees.
• Maintains knowledge of current products, procedures and regulations.
• Adheres to policies and completes required training.
• Processes transactions from ATM and night depository.
• Responds to customer inquiries or problems professionally.
• Assists customers with safe deposit box transactions.
• Fills in for Financial Specialist Leader when absent.
