Job summary

AssetMark is actively seeking a hands-on Cloud Engineer to operate and continually improve our Azure cloud platform. You will own shared platform capabilities, automate with Terraform and Bicep, and collaborate with Security/Network teams to maintain secure, compliant services.

You will work in a hybrid model near our Charlotte, NC office, supporting AKS, CI/CD, observability, and AI-enabled workloads while driving cost governance and FinOps practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT or related field.
• 4+ years supporting Azure-centric cloud platforms.
• Azure certifications valued (e.g., Azure Administrator, Solutions Architect).
• Experience with AKS, CI/CD (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions).
• Experience with OpenTelemetry and Grafana is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate and support core Azure services to meet uptime and SLA expectations.
• Troubleshoot production cloud issues and maintain runbooks.
• Manage AKS lifecycle, upgrades, and configuration standards.
• Implement IaC with Terraform and Bicep; build reusable modules.
