Job summary

System One, Inc. is seeking an experienced AWS Python Developer to advance cloud-based applications and data solutions for a large financial services client.

The role focuses on hands-on development across AWS, Python, and SQL, delivering scalable and reliable solutions within the enterprise framework. Qualified candidates will lead SDLC activities, collaborate with stakeholders, and leverage AI-assisted development and test automation to speed delivery while ensuring quality.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Python software development experience.
• Hands-on AWS cloud experience with Glue, Lambda, ECS, EMR, Redshift, DMS, S3, SQS/SNS, and RDS.
• Strong Python and Java programming with solid SQL skills.
• Experience with PostgreSQL and Oracle databases.
• Understanding of SDLC and Agile practices.
• Experience in developing, testing, deploying enterprise applications or data solutions.
• Familiarity with test automation tools and frameworks.
• Ability to use AI-assisted development tools to accelerate SDLC.
• Excellent collaboration with stakeholders and teams.
• Financial services experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and modernization of cloud-based applications and data solutions in a large financial services environment.
• Collaborate with business and technology stakeholders to deliver scalable, reliable AWS-based solutions.
• Develop and enhance cloud-based applications and data processes across the SDLC.
• Utilize Python, SQL, AWS Glue, Lambda, Redshift and related services to build robust solutions.
• Apply AI-assisted development techniques and test automation to improve speed and quality.
• Work with relational databases such as PostgreSQL and Oracle to support enterprise data needs.
• Participate in Agile development, testing, and deployment of enterprise applications or data solutions.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, developers, and technology teams.
• Adhere to enterprise development standards and best practices for reusable components.
