Job summary

The Intersect Group is recruiting a Senior Manager, Technical Accounting in Atlanta. This role leads technical accounting research, develops memos and policies, and partners with Finance, Tax, Legal, FP&A, and auditors. You will supervise two staff and deliver training on accounting standards.

Requirements include 7+ years of accounting, CPA (or pursuing), a Bachelor's in Accounting, and deep US GAAP expertise with public company exposure; M&A experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum seven years of progressive accounting experience, including public accounting
• CPA certification required or actively pursuing CPA certification
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
• Deep technical knowledge of US GAAP with SEC/public company reporting exposure
• Experience with M&A and purchase accounting, including business combinations

Responsibilities

• Lead technical accounting research involving complex US GAAP matters
• Prepare and review technical memos, position papers and accounting policies
• Support acquisition accounting and complex transactions and analyses
• Interpret new accounting standards and communicate conclusions to stakeholders
• Partner with Finance, Tax, Legal, FP&A and other corporate teams
• Support quarterly and annual financial reporting with auditors
• Supervise and develop two accounting professionals
• Develop and deliver training on accounting standards and policies
