Job summary

MetLife Investments (MII) oversees MetLife's investment activities, designing risk-managed strategies to match liabilities and drive long-term stability. This role sits within Pension & Investment Manager Oversight, focusing on analysis and governance of Separate Account and Benefit Plans investment managers.

The position offers hybrid work with in-office presence, and opportunities to engage with Compliance, Risk, Legal, and external partners to ensure sound investment decisions and reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required, preferably Finance, Economics, Engineering, or another quantitative field.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience (or 0-3 years for Sr. Analyst/Analyst) in pension plans, endowments, foundations, or asset management.
• Strong quantitative, analytical, and technical skills with data troubleshooting abilities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and investment analytics platforms (Aladdin, Bloomberg, BondEdge, eVestment, Morningstar).
• Experience using generative AI tools (Microsoft Copilot, Claude, LLMs) for data summaries and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Oversee MetLife's Separate Account and Benefit Plans investment managers.
• Partner with senior management to develop and formalize workstreams and policies.
• Collaborate with Compliance, Risk, Legal, Insurance, and external asset managers.
• Review portfolio performance relative to benchmarks and risk-adjusted returns.
• Support due diligence through quantitative and qualitative analysis of managers.
