Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field is required.
• CPA and public accounting experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and federal/state regulations for higher education.
• Experience supervising staff and delivering quality customer service.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and mentor Senior Accountant covering cash, gifts, payroll/benefits accounting, and related audits/filings.
• Review and post daily gift feed/journals to the general ledger; reconcile with Advancement records.
• Serve as liaison between Advancement and Finance to ensure GAAP compliance and donor restrictions.
• Maintain the endowment model subledger and reconcile endowment activity.
• Prepare endowment income, spending projections, and related internal reporting.
