Ascendion is seeking an Associate Attorney in Connecticut with a Juris Doctor and CT admission. The role is hybrid and requires 2+ years of insurance defense experience. You will manage caseloads, perform research, draft pleadings, and handle depositions to support defense strategies.

The annual salary ranges from 150k to 180k with full benefits and a flexible schedule including PTO and vacation time.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in insurance defense or related areas.
• Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
• Admitted to practice law in CT.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of insurance defense cases from evaluation to final resolution.
• Conduct legal and factual research and develop defense strategies.
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and briefs to support defense strategies.
• Handle written discovery, take and defend depositions, and prepare witnesses.
