Job summary

Caltrans seeks an Associate Accounting Analyst in Sacramento (Hybrid telework). The role performs the most complex accounting duties in the Service Payables Branch, overseeing payments for major contracts and compliance obligations.

Qualifications

• Possession of a valid driver’s license is required when operating a State owned or leased vehicle.
• Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) is required.
• Resume and College Transcripts are required.
• Minimum Qualifications will be verified prior to interview; unofficial transcripts/degree may be required.

Responsibilities

• Independently performs the most complex accounting duties within the Service Payables Branch.
• Monitors and processes payments related to Major Construction Contracts, EFT Enrollment, Stop Notices, Liens, Levies and Labor Compliance.
• Conducts detailed audits and reconciliations and resolves payment discrepancies.
• Tresents and leads over subordinate staff as needed.
