Job summary

Under the supervision of the Accounting Administrator I, the incumbent safeguards assets and ensures compliance with fiscal policies while contributing to process improvements across the accounting function.

Qualifications

• Experience with state accounting systems, ledgers and processes.
• Knowledge of GAAP and state fiscal policies.
• Proficiency in preparing cash analysis and year-end reports.
• Experience developing accounting procedures or policies.

Responsibilities

• Independently perform difficult accounting duties requiring understanding of the State accounting system, ledgers, and processes.
• Review proposals to change accounting procedures; prepare cash analysis reports; coordinate year-end reports.
• Develop accounting procedures or policies; participate in analytical studies and improvement projects.
