Job summary

Metropolitan Transportation Authority is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to manage capital project delivery within the MNR unit of C&D Delivery. This role ensures safety, schedule, budget adherence, and compliance with project documents and policies.

You will monitor status, identify risks, coordinate with staff, contractors, and agency forces to support safe, efficient execution of capital projects, with a telework option of one day per week.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction or Project Management, Business Administration, Transportation, or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years related experience.
• FE/EIT certificate desirable; PE/RA desirable; PMP and CCM certifications preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; proficient computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Mentor staff to deliver complex capital projects.
• Coordinate project activities through close-out.
• Monitor performance against baselines and pursue improvements.
• Identify issues/risks and ensure timely resolution and mitigation.
• Review contract invoices and ensure expenditures are charged correctly.
• Coordinate with safety and quality management staff.
• Manage project documentation and reporting throughout the lifecycle.
