Job summary

Columbia Sportswear Company is seeking an Assistant Buyer to support seasonal buying strategies and drive sales and gross margin goals. You will analyze data, build reporting, and disseminate weekly, monthly, and seasonal documents while collaborating with product, planning, and store teams.

You will develop visual assortment tools, manage pricing/promotions in season, and contribute to leadership reviews with catalogs and accurate analytics using Excel and Power BI.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of buying experience, retail merchandising, merchandise planning or allocation.
• Excellent Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Proven understanding of retail industry and retail metrics.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Illustrator experience preferred.
• Relocation assistance is not available for this role.

Responsibilities

• Support execution of seasonal buying strategies to achieve sales and gross margin goals.
• Analyze data, build and maintain advanced reporting, and prepare weekly, monthly, and seasonal documents.
• Collaborate with product line managers, allocation, planning, in-store marketing, visual merchandising, and store operations teams.
• Create product catalogs and upload orders to inform leadership reviews and store planning.
• Assist in in-season pricing and promotions and generate accurate reporting using PBI dashboards and Excel.
