Job summary

University of Virginia’s College and Graduate School of Arts & Sciences seeks a talented Graphic Designer to support communications and marketing through creative visual storytelling across channels.

Reporting to the Director of Content & Creative Services, you will translate strategy into on-brand materials from concept to production, ensuring accessibility and high visual impact with photography and illustration assets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and at least 2 years of relevant work experience.
• Advanced knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles, including Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop).
• Familiarity with page layout, typography, color theory, and use of photography/illustration assets.
• Understanding of the design process from concept through final production, including pre-press and printing essentials.

Responsibilities

• Design marketing and communications materials for Arts & Sciences.
• Apply design techniques to execute strategy across formats.
• Implement brand identity across all touchpoints consistently.
• Follow brand standards, style guides, and design processes.
