Job summary

The University of Virginia's College of Arts & Sciences is seeking a talented Graphic Designer to support communications and marketing efforts. This role turns initiatives, accomplishments, and research into clear, on-brand visuals across channels.

Reporting to the Director of Content & Creative Services, you will translate marketing strategy into compelling productions, practicing strong layout, typography, color theory, and accessibility across formats while collaborating with a dynamic team

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and at least 2 years of relevant design experience.
• Advanced knowledge of design tools and principles, including Adobe Creative Suite.
• Understanding of page layout, typography, color theory, and asset usage.
• Familiarity with a design process from concept to final production, including pre-press.

Responsibilities

• Design marketing and communications materials for Arts & Sciences.
• Apply design techniques to execute marketing strategy across formats.
• Consistently apply brand identity across touchpoints.
• Follow university graphics standards, style guides, and processes.
• Participate in creative briefings, reviews, and content planning.
• Contribute to a collaborative team culture and liberal arts values.
