Job summary

The University of South Florida's Department of Otolaryngology-Head & Neck Surgery seeks an Advanced Practice Provider (APRN or PA) to join a hybrid inpatient/outpatient team at Tampa General Hospital and USF centers, bridging inpatient-to-outpatient transition for complex ENT patients.

New graduates and experienced APPs are encouraged to apply; structured onboarding, faculty mentorship, and graduated clinical autonomy are central to development as a subspecialty expert.

Qualifications

• Master's or Medical degree from an accredited institution in nursing or physician assistant track; eligible for Instructor appointment.
• Florida RN/APRN or PA certification and licensure as required by statutes.
• Otolaryngology/ENT experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Clinical management: daily rounds, exams, and assessments for designated inpatients; outpatient follow-up care and transitions.
• Prescribe medications and therapies within scope; order and interpret labs, EKGs, and imaging.
• Perform ENT procedures and coordinate discharge planning.
• Engage in teaching and mentorship of residents and APP staff.
• Participate in departmental quality improvement and scholarly activities.
