Job summary

Aqua Aerobic in Loves Park, IL is seeking an Application Engineer for Aeration and Mixing to review process requirements and design water and wastewater treatment equipment. You will provide technical support, perform layout drawings, and assist sales during installations.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field with 2+ years of experience, plus strong communication and CAD familiarity. Occasional travel up to 10% is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related technical field and 2+ years of related training and experience or equivalent.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills; able to convey technical information clearly.
• Familiarity with MS Office; CAD skills preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Review process requirements and develop designs and recommendations for water and wastewater treatment equipment for Aeration and Mixing products.
• Develop preliminary process design reports for aeration and mixing equipment.
• Determine equipment costs for preliminary process designs.
• Involvement in testing equipment to confirm unit capacity and mixing/aeration performance.
• Create effective written reports to convey findings from testing to customers.
• Provide technical assistance to internal and external clients including engineers, end users, and sales teams.
• Travel up to 10% to customer sites to support technical discussions and testing.
• Other duties as assigned.
