Job summary

Ahold Delhaize USA is seeking a seasoned Accounts Payable leader to manage a Direct Store Delivery AP team in Salisbury, NC with hybrid in-office and remote days. You will establish controls, oversee 3rd party processing, and drive process improvements across the AP function while collaborating with multiple internal partners and brands.

The role requires 6–8 years of AP experience, strong accounting knowledge, and leadership capabilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent required.
• 6–8 years AP experience, preferably leading teams/processes.
• Solid understanding of accounting principles and their impact on financial statements.
• Strong MS Office skills, especially Excel with advanced formulas.
• Experience with GL account analysis and reporting tools.
• Ability to train and develop staff and communicate effectively with management.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coach a team of AP associates for timely task completion.
• Oversee invoice processing carried out by a 3rd party provider.
• Refine SOPs to uphold best-practice standards.
• Oversee data flow and end-to-end processes across supply chain and vendors.
• Collaborate with VSRM, category management, brands, and IT to resolve issues.
• Provide ad hoc analysis to support key business decisions.
• Develop and publish department KPIs and reporting.
• Set departmental goals and drive accountability.
• Act as liaison between AP and other areas/brands.
• Evaluate AP processes for improvements and advocate changes.
• Maintain robust internal controls and operational integrity.
