Job summary

MaineHealth is seeking an Annual Giving Officer to execute annual giving strategies and campaigns, manage donor communications, and lead leadership giving initiatives across our health system. The role focuses on cultivating relationships with leadership donors and increasing donor retention and giving over time.

You will collaborate with fundraising, communications, and gift planning teams to create donor-centered experiences and compelling communications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in nonprofit management, communications, business, or a related field.
• CFRE certification preferred.
• Five years of progressively responsible fundraising/donor relations experience.
• Demonstrated experience executing multi-channel fundraising or donor engagement efforts.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; proficient with Microsoft Office and donor databases.

Responsibilities

• Execute annual giving strategies and campaigns across multiple channels.
• Manage donor communications and solicitation efforts to increase retention and giving.
• Develop donor stewardship, recognition programs, and impact reporting.
• Collaborate with gift processing, donor relations, stewardship, communications, major giving, and gift planning teams to ensure donor-centered experiences.
• Cultivate relationships with leadership annual giving donors and lead the Leadership Giving Society.

Education

Bachelor's degree in nonprofit management, communications, business, or a related field

CFRE certification preferred

Five years of fundraising/ donor relations experience

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Strong project management skills

Proficient in Microsoft Office and donor database systems
