Ideal candidates have a strong portfolio (2D or 3D), proficiency in Maya/Blender/Toon Boom, and a degree or equivalent experience in Animation or Fine Arts. A collaborative mindset and hybrid work readiness are essential.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an Animator with a strong portfolio (2D or 3D).
• Proficiency in industry-standard software such as Maya, Blender, Adobe Animate, or Toon Boom Harmony.
• Solid understanding of animation principles (timing, spacing, squash and stretch, anticipation).
• Hybrid work environment: collaboration with remote and in-office teams in Paarl.

Responsibilities

• Create compelling 2D or 3D animations for characters, objects, and environments.
• Collaborate with directors, storyboard artists, and teammates to develop animation sequences.
• Interpret and execute creative briefs, translating concepts into dynamic animations.
• Ensure animation quality, timing, and consistency meet project standards.
• Utilize animation software to produce high-fidelity content.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical challenges in the animation pipeline.
