Job summary

Gwinnett Technical College seeks an Adjunct Faculty member to deliver Anatomy, Physiology or Biology courses, in both face-to-face and hybrid formats. You’ll assess student progress toward goals, prepare and maintain documentation, and support recruitment and placement efforts.

If offered, annual Hazardous Materials Training is required. Minimum qualifications include a doctorate or master’s in science (or a master’s with required credits).

Qualifications

• Minimum qualifications depend on teaching discipline and accrediting bodies.
• Faculty must be credentialed to satisfy accrediting bodies for the course.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and delivers lecture and/or lab material in face-to-face and hybrid formats.
• Evaluates students’ progress toward goals and objectives.
• Prepares and maintains required documentation and administrative reports.
• Assists with recruitment, retention and job placement efforts.
• Hazardous Materials Training must be completed annually if offered a position.
• Meets with students and staff to discuss instructional programs.

Education

Doctorate or Master’s degree in science

Master’s degree with 18 semester hours or 30 quarter hours in the discipline
