Job summary

MassMutual is hiring an AI Platform Engineer (entry-level) to join the AI Platform Engineering team. This full-time, hybrid-onsite role (3 days/week) offers hands-on work with cloud infrastructure, AI serving layers, and developer tooling.

You will learn from senior engineers, contribute to real initiatives from day one, and grow toward more independent engineering tasks. You will collaborate across AI engineering, product, and cloud teams, participate in design reviews, and gain exposure to

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Foundational understanding of cloud computing and exposure to at least one major cloud provider (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
• 2+ years experience in programming in Python, Go, Java, or similar languages.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to platform components—cloud infrastructure, AI serving layers, and developer tooling.
• Support design and implementation of platform features such as the LLM gateway and model serving infra.
• Learn and adhere to the team’s engineering standards through reviews and pair programming.
• Take ownership of well-scoped tasks within larger initiatives and deliver to production.
