Job summary

Loenbro is seeking an AI Engineer in a hybrid, full-time role based in Westminster, CO, with responsibilities spanning design, development, and deployment of AI-powered tools across construction and operations. You will work with cross-functional teams to automate processes, build AI workflows, and integrate tools via APIs.

A strong portfolio of AI projects and hands-on experience with Claude/ChatGPT/CoPilot/Gemini are preferred.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Data Science, or related field.
2+ years of exposure to data-related work—analytics, BI, data entry systems, reporting, or supporting data-driven teams.
1+ year of active, hands-on experience with AI tools, platforms, or APIs in professional or personal capacity.
Working experience with Claude (Anthropic), ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, and/or Google Gemini.
A portfolio of AI projects showing initiative and results.

Responsibilities

Design, build, and deploy lightweight AI-powered tools to improve operational efficiency.
Collaborate with field teams to identify manual processes and translate them into AI solutions.
Develop and iterate on prompt engineering for reliable LLM outputs.
Prototype and test AI workflows using LLM APIs, automation platforms, and custom scripts.
Build self-contained AI solutions like chatbots or workflow automations with minimal dependencies.
Integrate AI tools with internal and third-party systems via APIs for scalable workflows.
Create dashboards or simple apps for non-technical users to interact with AI-driven solutions.
Monitor and improve AI tool performance, including accuracy and user adoption.
Implement guardrails and validation to mitigate hallucinations and protect data integrity.
Document workflows and tools to support scalability and maintenance.
Stay current on emerging AI tools and practices; propose new approaches to the business.
Support evolution from standalone tools to integrated AI architectures.
