The Research Coordinator at the Agroecosystem Sustainability Center within the Institute for Sustainability, Energy and Environment at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign will coordinate research activities, manage reporting, financials, compliance, and logistics to support faculty and researchers in advancing scientific work.

This 100% academic professional role requires coordinating staff hiring, travel, visas, budgets, and grant submissions while partnering with university admin units

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in science, liberal arts, or business administration.
• One year of experience coordinating research in an academic, private, or relevant public/nonprofit environment.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate hiring of research staff, postdocs, and students.
• Facilitate internal communications with HR, SPA, or ISSS on personnel tasks such as travel, reimbursement, salary, and visa.
• Track progress and prepare reports and extension documentation to funding agencies.
• Support budgeting and reporting to funding agencies in compliance with sponsor and university requirements.
• Monitor staffing across grants and assist in planning scientific meetings and seminars.
