Responsibilities

• Advise, counsel, and assist F-1 students and J-1 students and scholars on maintaining non-immigrant status and employment authorization.
• Create, update, and maintain SEVIS records and reportable events as required by federal regulations.
• Assist with obtaining SSN and driver’s license/state ID and provide logistical guidance.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of federal regulations, SEVIS procedures, and university policies.
• Liaise with DHS, SEVP, DOS, CBP, and USCIS regarding student requests and data fixes.
• Design and deliver regulatory workshops for international students, scholars, and colleagues.
• Coordinate with academic services and orientation teams on immigration compliance for new students.
• Collaborate with the ISSS onboarding team to support comprehensive student onboarding.
