Job summary

Ameriprise Financial's Corporate Actuarial team seeks an Actuarial Associate to join a hybrid Minneapolis, MN role. You will perform actuarial tasks with limited supervision, support annuity model runs, and develop expertise in Prophet risk modeling and governance processes.

The position requires a Bachelor's degree, 3+ years actuarial experience, ASA exams plus VEE coursework, and strong Python and Excel skills. In-office collaboration is emphasized, with some flexibility for remote work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent (4 years).
• 3+ years actuarial or related experience.
• All Introductory ASA exams plus 1 Advanced ASA exam.
• VEE coursework completion.

Responsibilities

• Support quarterly and ad-hoc annuity risk reporting with results to management.
• Evaluate model change requests and assess market sensitivities.
• Develop expertise in Prophet annuity models and run settings.
• Lead testing of model enhancements to ensure accurate risk reporting.
• Maintain model documentation and governance artifacts.
