Job summary

Blue River PetCare seeks an Accounts Payable Clerk to support clinics nationwide, working in a hybrid model within 40 miles of the corporate office at 1 S. Wacker Dr., Chicago, IL. You will review invoices, code expenses, and maintain vendor records.

The role requires attention to detail, problem-solving, and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment while delivering strong customer service. An Associate’s degree is required; bachelor’s degree is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review and verify invoices and check requests
• Sort, code, and match invoices
• Set up and enter invoices and expense reports for payment into accounting system
• Post daily cash receipts and deposits on Excel spreadsheets
• Monitor accounts for multiple locations to ensure payments are current
• Research and resolve invoice and payment discrepancies and issues with vendors and dispute issues for the company
• Create and reconcile consolidated vendor statements and spreadsheets
• Update and maintain vendor database and accounting spreadsheets
• Maintain vendor information, including W9s and 1099 tax preparation and related issues
• Prepare and pay sales tax across multiple locations
• Assist with administrative and clerical tasks
• Other duties and projects as assigned
