Job summary

Unknown accounts payable leadership role in New York, NY, offering a hybrid schedule with two remote days per week. You will oversee daily AP operations, ensure timely processing of invoices across programs, and maintain strong internal controls in line with GAAP.

The position requires supervision, vendor management, and close collaboration with finance staff. The role emphasizes mentoring AP staff, improving processes, and ensuring accurate payment cycles while leveraging Microsoft Dynamics 365

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and at least 3 years of accounts payable experience.
• At least 2 years of supervisory experience.
• Strong Excel skills and ability to analyze data.
• Attention to detail, written communication, and customer service.
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day operations of the AP department and supervise staff.
• Review and verify vouchers and invoices for accuracy and compliance.
• Manage weekly payment selection within approved cash plan and vendor terms.
• Maintain vendor master data, reconcile statements, and resolve inquiries.
• Oversee month-end/year-end close and 1099 compliance.
• Train and mentor AP staff and improve internal controls.
• Provide AP support using Microsoft Dynamics 365 BC.
• Develop policy enhancements to strengthen controls and efficiency.
• Handle AP inquiries and support the Finance Department objectives.
