Job summary

Destination Cleveland seeks an Accounting Specialist to join its finance team. You will monitor and code invoices, support monthly close, and maintain schedules to ensure GAAP compliance across DC affiliates.

The ideal candidate has an accounting degree and 2-3 years in accounting, proficiency in Bill.com / Sage Intacct, and strong communication skills. This hybrid role requires in-office onboarding and offers competitive salary and annual bonus potential.

Qualifications

• Proficient in MS 365, including Excel and Word and PowerPoint.
• Ability to reconcile accounts and support schedules to general ledger.
• GAAP knowledge and understanding of debits/credits impact.
• Experience with A/P and A/R systems preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor daily BILL (Bill.com) invoice inbox.
• Assign invoices to approvers and code in correct period.
• Post invoices to general ledger with fund/subdepartment/project codes.
• Support monthly close and reconciliations with source documents.
• Develop and maintain internal controls and policies.
