Williams Lea is hiring for a Hybrid Accounts Payable Associate at our Wheeling, WV office. Work hours are Monday to Friday, 11:00 am to 8:00 pm.

Pay: $17.00/hour + 10% shift differential

The Accounts Receivable/Accounts Payable Associate may handle tasks related to either or both areas, ensuring efficient, accurate, and timely processing of receivables and/or payables following established guidelines and procedures.

Job duties include:
  • Auditing reimbursement and manual check requests for proper documentation and approvals
  • Verifying and adding new vendors to finance systems
  • Correcting coding errors and general ledger account numbers
  • Verifying invoice details against backup documentation and processing payments accordingly
  • Entering vouchers and balancing batches
  • Responding to inquiries from Williams Lea and vendors, researching payment issues as needed
  • Processing expense reimbursements and payment requests
  • Handling sensitive and confidential documents and information
  • Communicating with managers regarding job or deadline issues
Qualifications:
  • Associate’s Degree or higher preferred
  • 1-2 years of relevant financial experience; law firm experience preferred
  • Knowledge of financial systems (e.g., Aderant Expert, Chrome River, Elite, CMS) preferred
  • Proficiency in MS Office and spreadsheet applications
  • Customer service skills to build and maintain client relationships
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
  • Attention to detail, time management, problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work under deadlines with professionalism
  • Capable of working independently and in teams
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
