LHH is recruiting for an Accounting Supervisor in Mount Prospect, IL. This hybrid role offers opportunities to lead month-end close, drive financial analyses, and partner with operations and senior leadership.

A CPA is preferred, with 4+ years in manufacturing or related fields, and strong Excel and ERP/BI skills. The role provides a clear path toward Accounting Manager and Controller-level leadership within a global manufacturing environment, with a competitive base salary and bonus

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.
• CPA preferred.
• 4+ years of accounting experience.
• Manufacturing, CPG, industrial, distribution, or public accounting with manufacturing clients preferred.
• Experience with month-end close, financial reporting, reconciliations, and financial analysis.
• Exposure to cost accounting or manufacturing accounting is helpful.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Experience with ERP systems and BI tools.
• Strong communication skills and ability to partner with operational leaders.
• Demonstrated leadership, mentorship, project leadership, or supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Own and support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities.
• Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial analyses.
• Prepare internal financial statements and management reporting packages.
• Analyze operating results, explain variances, and communicate findings to business leaders.
• Partner with Operations, Finance, and Accounting leadership to drive decision-making.
• Assist with annual budgeting, forecasting, long-range planning, and monthly outlooks.
• Support internal controls, process improvements, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Mentor and develop accounting team members while building leadership experience.
• Participate in special projects, profitability analysis, and business performance initiatives.
