Job summary

Empower Retirement seeks an Accounting Manager in the Boston area to prepare quarterly journal entries and perform consolidation work under US GAAP, IFRS, and statutory guidelines. The ideal candidate will drive intercompany analysis, transfer pricing coordination with FP&A, tax, and actuaries, and ensure ledger integrity.

Four to six years of accounting or business analysis experience, a Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field, and advanced Excel skills are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Math, Business Administration, or related field is required.
• 4–6 years of relevant accounting or business analysis experience.
• Proficiency in MS Office with advanced Excel and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare quarterly journal entries to support the ledger close, including transfer pricing and GAAP adjustments.
• Review quarterly financial statements and journal entries prepared by offshore associates.
• Prepare and review quarter-end analytics and consolidated equity rolls on IFRS and GAAP bases.
• Perform a consolidation review, dividend analysis, and intercompany analysis quarterly.
• Lead transfer pricing program work and liaise with FP&A, tax and actuary.
