Job summary

Jobot partnering with a Fortune 25 industry leader seeks an Accounting Manager to lead Corporate Accounting in Cincinnati. You will oversee the close process, ensure GAAP compliance, and strengthen internal controls to deliver accurate financial reporting.

The role offers hybrid work, mentoring, and opportunities to drive process improvements through automation within a large finance organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• CPA designation strongly preferred.
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Experience leading or supervising accounting teams.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting.
• Experience with month-end close and general ledger accounting.
• Knowledge of SOX compliance and internal controls.
• ERP system experience (SAP, Oracle, or similar).
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close process.
• Review and approve journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting documentation.
• Ensure accurate financial reporting in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
• Maintain and strengthen SOX compliance and internal control processes.
• Partner with Finance, FP&A, Internal Audit, and business leaders across the organization.
• Analyze financial results and investigate variances.
• Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes through automation and continuous improvement.
• Support internal and external audit activities.
• Mentor, coach, and develop accounting professionals while fostering a collaborative team environment.
• Participate in special projects, system implementations, and strategic finance initiatives.
