Job summary

Capital One in McLean/VA, Richmond/VA, or Wilmington/DE seeks an Accounting Manager focused on Agile project execution within Retail Bank’s Controllers team. You will lead high-priority accounting projects, manage multiple priorities, and drive timely delivery in a collaborative, hybrid work environment.

You will guide test and implementation efforts, coach associates, and partner with stakeholders across the organization to ensure successful outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or military experience.
• At least 5 years of accounting, external financial reporting, audit, or finance experience.
• CPA license preferred.
• 1+ year of workstream management.
• 1+ year of Agile project management experience.
• 1+ year of experience with Jira.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the main point of contact and own various projects from planning to delivery.
• Lead and assist in development, testing and implementation of project requirements.
• Leverage problem solving and influencing skills to meet project intent.
• Review progress and provide guidance to ensure timely delivery.
• Contribute to process improvement through project development and knowledge sharing.
• Collaborate with local and cross-functional teams to drive initiatives.
