Job summary

MarksNelson Advisory, LLC is seeking an accounting intern to gain hands-on experience in our collaborative, people-first culture. You will participate in orientation and training across tax and audit while contributing to client work.

Qualifications

• Completed more than two years of coursework toward a bachelor’s degree in business or accounting.
• Attention to detail and analytical mindset are essential.
• Willingness to learn and contribute to a team.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook is expected.

Responsibilities

• Gain hands-on experience in the accounting services industry.
• Participate in intern orientation and training for tax, audit, and client work.
• Shadow and assist with procedures across financial statement areas.
• Work with bookkeeping software and tools for fixed assets, tax returns, and audit work-papers.
• Review client financial statements and record adjustments as needed.
• Assist with payroll and 1099 filing requirements.
• Collaborate with diverse clients across industries.
