Job summary

Community Health Alliance is seeking an experienced Accountant to maintain accurate financial records, monitor performance, and ensure policy compliance. This hybrid role in Fairfield, OH requires five years of accounting experience and a Bachelor's degree in Accounting.

You will oversee GL, AP/AR, bank reconciliations, audit coordination, and process improvements while collaborating with leadership to support budgeting and financial operations in a healthcare environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required.
• Minimum of five years of accounting experience.
• Healthcare or mental health industry experience preferred.
• Proficiency with general ledger, AP/AR, bank reconciliations, and intercompany transactions.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and maintain the general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, intercompany transactions, cash receipts, and disbursements.
• Monitor financial performance against budgets and plans; analyze variances and trends; provide recommendations to improve performance.
• Coordinate internal and external audits, prepare documentation and government reports, maintain internal controls.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting systems and automate processes for accuracy and efficiency.
• Partner with CFO and leadership to support planning, budgeting, and reporting.
