Job summary

The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) in the North Central Region seeks an Access Management Coordinator to join the Division of Transportation System Development. The role centers on applying access control measures across the State Trunk Highway System, with coordination between local governments and private developers.

The position is hybrid and headquartered in Rhinelander, WI, with telework options as appropriate. Salary ranges from $68,640 to $93,600 per year, plus benefits.

Qualifications

• Reading and interpreting legal descriptions, zoning, statutes, transportation plans and/or plats.
• Communicating technical information to varied customers or groups.
• Experience may include documenting project issues; enforcing contract specifications; managing project files; administering construction contracts; and planning, scheduling, and managing project workload.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain access controls on the State Trunk Highway System with respect to controlled access projects, access requests and subdivision plat submittals, and the Improvement Program.
• Coordinate with local units of government, other agency staff, land surveyors, and private developers and their consultants.
