Job summary

The Public Utilities Commission candidate will supervise the ESCB Training Team, coordinating the training of all 9-1-1 ECS and auditing PSAP compliance. You will determine knowledge and skills for new trainees and supervise course content, testing methods, and delivery formats.

You will also guide RFP development, contract negotiations, and monitoring of training deliverables, collaborating with vendors to advance the state-wide Next Generation 9-1-1 system.

Qualifications

• Experience in leadership or training roles in Public Safety Answering Point environments and NG9-1-1.
• Ability to teach in-person, remotely, and hybrid; strong oral and written communication.
• Knowledge of curriculum planning, testing methodology, and instructor evaluation techniques.

Responsibilities

• Oversee training of all 9-1-1 ECS; determine knowledge/skill outcomes for trainees.
• Audit PSAP compliance with Bureau operating standards and statutory provisions.
• Advise on RFPs, contract selection, negotiations, and monitoring of deliverables; manage training scheduling.
