Role Overview

The Gallery Host creates the brand-specific experience (i.e., Hyatt) for our guests by offering a larger-than-home experience with welcoming, helpful, and exceptional service, while maintaining a clean, comfortable, and inviting environment.

Qualifications

• A minimum of one month of related experience; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
• Previous customer service experience in a hotel or related field preferred.
• Strong ability to read, write, and speak English.
• Ability to learn quickly and work in a fast-paced environment with constant guest interaction.
• Basic computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
• Ability to identify and resolve problems promptly, develop alternatives, and use reason even with emotional topics.
• Ability to multi-task and manage difficult or emotional customer situations.
• Maintain professionalism, respect, and consideration for others.
• Follow policies, procedures, safety, and security guidelines.
• Effective communication skills, both oral and written.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality, with flexibility for occasional outside-hours work.

Job Responsibilities

• Assist guests with check-in/out, including verifying registration, handling charges, and aiding with luggage, directions, and reservations.
• Provide information and coordinate guest requests for special services and amenities.
• Answer phones courteously following brand standards.
• Prepare and serve food and beverages, maintain cleanliness, and operate POS systems.
• Assist with food orders, serve in a friendly manner, and maintain a clean environment.
• Follow all operational policies, including cash handling, safety, and security procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
