Job summary

Hy-Vee, Inc. is seeking a friendly Hy-Chi Department Clerk to join our fast-paced grocery team. You will fill customer orders, assist at the counter, and help keep the Hy-Chi station running smoothly with a focus on quality and service.

No extensive experience required; we provide training. You’ll greet customers, manage product replenishment, handle the register, and maintain a clean, safe workspace while following company guidelines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Up to six months of related experience; training provided.
• Ability to follow instructions and maintain accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and take orders at the Hy-Chi counter with a smile.
• Ensure adequate food supply by following production list.
• Prepare, finish, and replenish products and pull from cooler/freezer as needed.
• Maintain freshness and quality throughout the shift.
• Operate the department register and handle payments.
• Keep work area clean and follow sanitation procedures.
• Assist with stocking, pricing, and customer inquiries.
• Follow Hy-Vee dress code and department guidelines.
