Hy-Vee Inc. in Minnesota is seeking a motivated Hy-Chi Department Cook to prepare a variety of hot and cold foods in a fast-paced kitchen. You will keep the Hy-Chi station stocked and deliver quality dishes to customers throughout shifts.
No prior experience required; training provided. Expect night and weekend shifts and a strong emphasis on food safety, teamwork, and customer service as you contribute to the daily success of Hy-Vee’s Hy-Chi department.

You don't need extensive experience for this role; we'll provide the training you need to succeed. To hit the ground running, you'll need to be able to:
Accountable and Reports to: Store Director; Store Manager; Assistant Managers of Store Operations, Perishables, Health Wellness Home; Food Service Director; Hy-Chi Department Manager; Assistant Hy-Chi Department Manager; Service Managers
No prior experience required; training is provided.
This is a fast-moving role with significant pressure to meet deadlines throughout your shift. You'll work in the Hy-Chi kitchen and can expect continual exposure to noise and temperature extremes, as well as frequent exposure to cleaning chemicals and solvents. Safety is always a priority, and training is provided to help ensure a safe and supportive work environment.
The anticipated hourly starting wage for this position is $17.00 to $21.25 depending on experience.
Employment is contingent upon the successful completion of a pre employment drug screen.
