Job summary

Leidos Defense in Huntsville, AL is seeking a Hardware in the Loop Test Engineer to support Hypersonics programs. You will develop HWIL test architectures, integrate electronic hardware with real-time simulation, and perform verification and validation across avionics and embedded systems.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Electrical/Computer Engineering, 4+ years in HWIL/SIL/test engineering, experience with automated test software (Python, C/C++, LabVIEW, MATLAB/Simulink), and US citizenship

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
4+ years in electrical/test engineering, HWIL/HIL development.
Experience with automated test and verification systems.
Ability to read schematics and electrical interfaces.
US citizenship with ability to obtain Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

Develop HWIL architectures and interfaces between system under test and simulated environment.
Design, integrate, and troubleshoot HWIL interfaces including analog, digital, serial, Ethernet, power.
Develop test cases and automate procedures using Python, C/C++, LabVIEW, and MATLAB/Simulink.
Support real-time simulation platforms integration with hardware under test.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to resolve issues and improve test efficiency.
