Invenergy is seeking a Grid Integration Engineer I in Chicago, IL. This role involves electrical engineering and commissioning of HVDC Converter Stations, ensuring project oversight and control system integration.

Ideal candidates will have a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and 1-2 years of experience in the power industry. The position offers a salary between $70,000 - $95,000 annually, along with additional benefits including a 15% bonus.

Qualifications

• 1-2+ years of work experience in the Power industry, including internships.
• Understanding of HV electrical infrastructure.
• Eligible to work in the United States without the need for employer visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough design review of OEM submittals.
• Monitor project construction, installation, testing, and commissioning.
• Coordinate with operations team for project turnover.

Skills

Knowledge of power systems and control systems

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Problem-solving and analytical capabilities

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Power Systems

Tools

Power systems simulation tools (e.g., PSSE, PSCAD, RTDS)
