Job summary

Hitachi Energy is seeking a Mold Maintenance Technician to inspect, clean, and repair molds and tooling to keep molding lines production-ready. You will manage mold parts inventory, perform preventative maintenance, and document activities to support uptime and quality.

Working in a manufacturing environment, you will troubleshoot issues, optimize mold performance with Engineering support, and adhere to safety and 5S practices for a clean, safe workspace.

Responsibilities

• Inspect molds for quality and adherence to specifications
• Clean and lubricate molds; ensure molds, fixtures, and tooling are maintained in a production-ready condition to meet scheduled production
• Replace worn or broken parts and perform repairs to molds and related equipment
• Manage inventory of connection fittings to adequately prepare molding sections for processing
• Conduct routine and preventative maintenance on molds; document maintenance activities as required
• Troubleshoot molds and support production to minimize downtime and scrap
• Monitor, evaluate, and optimize mold performance; with support from Engineering, adjust mold building techniques and process to support quality, efficiency, and throughput
• Follow all safety rules and procedures and ensure work meets required safety standards
• Follow and participate in 5S activities to sustain a safe, visual, and efficient workspace.
