Job summary

Hitachi Energy in Texas is seeking a Mold Technician to inspect, maintain, and repair molds used in production. You will clean and lubricate molds, manage fittings inventory, and perform routine preventive maintenance to sustain quality and uptime.

You will work with Engineering to optimize mold performance, follow safety rules, and participate in 5S to maintain a safe, efficient workspace. Prior experience with molds and tooling is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Inspect molds for quality and adherence to specifications.
• Clean and lubricate molds; ensure molds, fixtures, and tooling are maintained in a production-ready condition to meet scheduled production.
• Replace worn or broken parts and perform repairs to molds and related equipment.
• Manage inventory of connection fittings to adequately prepare molding sections for processing.
• Conduct routine and preventative maintenance on molds; document maintenance activities as required.
• Troubleshoot molds and support production to minimize downtime and scrap.
• Monitor, evaluate, and optimize mold performance; With support from Engineering, adjust mold building techniques and process to support quality, efficiency, and throughput.
• Follow all safety rules and procedures and ensure work meets required safety standards.
• Follow and participate in 5S activities to sustain a safe, visual, and efficient workspace.
