Job summary

VHV Company in Vermont seeks an HVAC Training Instructor to develop Apprentice Technicians in our in-house program. You will transform entry-level trainees into safe, productive field technicians through a structured curriculum and measurable outcomes.

Ideal candidates bring 5+ years HVACR field experience, strong leadership, and training or mentoring background. You will use data to drive improvements, partner with service leaders, and advance our EOS-based workforce development initiatives.

Qualifications

• Five+ years of HVACR field experience.
• Strong technical knowledge of HVAC systems, controls, and troubleshooting.
• Prior training, teaching, or mentorship experience preferred.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple trainees at different levels.
• Comfortable using data and metrics to drive decisions and improvements.
• Clear and accurate data entry skills.

Responsibilities

• Own Apprentice Development Outcomes: take full ownership of progression from onboarding through field readiness.
• Deliver Structured, Process-Driven Training: execute and improve a standardized HVACR training curriculum with hands-on and classroom instruction.
• Track, Measure, and Report Performance: maintain weekly KPIs and report progress to leadership.
• Bridge Training to Field Performance: align training with real-world needs and support trainee transition to the field.
