Woodland Park Zoo is seeking a journey-level Refrigeration HVACR specialist to install, maintain and repair HVACR systems onsite. The role demands strong diagnostic skills, adherence to safety protocols, and readiness to handle emergencies 24/7 when needed.
You will work a Monday–Friday schedule from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., with weekend on-call coverage for on-site critical equipment issues. The position is represented by the union and located in Washington state.
SALARY & FLSA: $61.73 - $70.52, per hour; FLSA non-exempt
$61.73 - $70.52. The typical starting rate for this role is $61.73. Every employee under the Joint Crafts Council wage scale, on first appointment, will typically receive the first step of the salary range for the position. Employees will advance to the second step at the start of the pay period after their one-year anniversary in the job classification and each milestone thereafter (3 years, 6 years, 11 years, and 17 years of service) with Step 6 being the maximum pay rate.

This is an onsite position with a regular schedule of Monday through Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Candidates must be available for on-call weekend coverage to respond to emergency situations and critical equipment issues as needed.
