Job summary

Johnstone Supply is seeking a Branch Manager in Troy, MI to lead all aspects of branch operations, including customer service, inventory control, staffing, safety, and profitability. You will own the P&L for the branch and drive performance through coaching and data-driven decision making.

The role requires strong leadership, wholesale distribution knowledge, forklift operation, and OSHA compliance, with a focus on improving customer experience and branch efficiency.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; 5+ years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum of 1 year directly managing a large team in wholesale operations.
• Experience operating forklift and other warehouse equipment safely and competently.
• Experience with inventory management systems.
• Experience with OSHA safety regulations and procedures.
• Bachelor’s degree is preferred for additional responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Direct, promote, and coordinate branch operations to provide outstanding customer service and achieve the branch budget.
• Lead branch team through performance management, training, and staffing plans.
• Maintain showroom, warehouse, and exterior appearance to support sales goals.
• Oversee inventory, cycle counts, returns, and warranty processing.
• Manage branch pricing, costs, and profitability against goals.
• Ensure safety programs and regulatory compliance across the branch.
• Coordinate with sales and operations to meet customer needs and programs.
• Prepare and monitor operating plans, budgets, and regular status reports.
