How will you do it

We are looking for skilled HVAC Technicians with experience in air-cooled and/or water-cooled chillers, industrial chillers, AHUs, or large rooftop ducted units. Experience in industrial petro-chemical, pharmaceutical, or data center environments is preferred. Provide our customers with the highest level of service to solve facility inefficiencies and resolve service-related issues. As a trusted advisor, you will provide solutions and outcomes during commissioning and aftermarket service, with opportunities for upselling and providing quotes to support recommendations.

What we look for

Required

• Be a dedicated member of a North America Branch team, willing to learn and responsible for startup, commissioning, and aftermarket services.
• Must be a member or willing to join a local Union.
• Minimum of twelve (12) years of practical experience with air-cooled/water-cooled chillers, industrial chillers, AHUs, or large rooftop units, including troubleshooting and leading complex repairs or retrofits.
• Recognized as a leader by peers, capable of coaching and mentoring, and serving as an escalation point for technical issues.
• Assist management in ensuring proper operational discipline among technicians and provide input on training needs.
• Provide consulting-level services related to building systems or product repairs and enhancements.
• Ensure customer satisfaction and conduct self-study to maintain technical proficiency, completing all required training and certifications.
• Communicate effectively with customers, ensuring high satisfaction, informing them of service progress, and recommending system improvements.
• Manage work to meet professional standards, deadlines, and customer expectations.
• Ability to repair centrifugal compressors, steam turbines, absorption chillers, screw chillers, and ammonia/hydrocarbon systems.
• Maintain ammonia and hydrocarbon safety training certifications.
• Extensive HVAC system experience, including chilled water loops, pumping, and troubleshooting compressors.
• Mechanical shaft alignment skills using dial indicators or lasers.
• Use vibration equipment for troubleshooting compressor drivelines.
• Proficiency in operating, troubleshooting, and repairing large tonnage chillers and VSDs, including OEM panels and controllers.
• Ability to troubleshoot industrial control systems like Allen Bradley.
• Willingness to travel 10-20% for customer support activities.
• Pass a knowledge examination to assess proficiency.
